Travel tips when travelling overseas

Travel tips:

1. When travelling overseas, make sure you snap as many photos as possible! Store these pictures in your external hard disk to ensure that you have enough space to store new pictures.

2. Instead of making calls from your hotel room, why not use phone cards or better, a LocalSIMKad™ of your destination!

3. Make sure you have enough cash and do keep your cash and credit cards in a secured place.

4. Before leaving your hotel room, double check the things under your bed; you’ll never what is left behind.

5. If you wish to wash your undergarments, it’s better to wash them manually using your hands and the bathroom basin available as it is much cheaper than sending it to the hotel’s laundry service.

Australians delicious Anzac biscuits

Image

Love Australian biscuits but don’t know how to bake one? Get your pen & paper now and start jotting down this Anzac biscuits recipe! Anzac biscuits are baked by anxious wives & mothers during the WWII. They were packed in food parcels & then sent to the Australian soldiers in the trenches. These aren’t just ordinary biscuits you know 🙂

The Anzac biscuits are now manufactured for retail sale and since the biscuits have a connection with the ANZACs, they are normally sold for fundraising. These biscuits can be found worldwide, with several major supermarkets in the UK.

Amazing Bioluminescent Lake in Australia

Blue is the colour of the sky and ocean, and it is also known as the calming colour. Anything blue attracts me; I couldn’t agree more that it has a strong impact and influence on ones emotions. Can you imagine yourself looking at a blue lake that shines brightly during the night? It almost feels like you are watching a lake that shines as bright as the Christmas tree! Well, in Australia, there is such thing.

In the Gippsland Lakes in Australia, Bioluminescence is a very unique, beautiful, and rare phenomenon. It is the result from various events such as flash floods, storms, and bushfires that attracts a population explosion of one specific type of algae. You must be wondering how this phenomenon may look like. Below is a photo of the Bioluminescence:

The Korean War Memorial

Image

The Korean War started on June 25, 1950, after the North Korean troops crossed over the 38th parallel and invaded South Korea. The United Nations issued an army, led by US General Douglas MacArthur, in order to drive the North Koreans out of South Korea. In the year 1953, the war ended with the reestablishment of the 38th parallel as the divider between North and South Korea. Thousands of US soldiers lost their lives in this war and monuments of these brave soldiers were built across the nation.
